Crowd Control
Do you have an 18+ event coming up or expecting more than 30 youths
at your next event? Realistically, there could be trouble.
What would you do if a fight broke out? What could happen if your
party or function is gatecrashed? What is the risk to your
guests and property?
What is your responsibility?
As the host of your function, you have a duty
of care to your guests and patrons. Even with the best intentions
and a guest list- trouble can be a phone call or
SMS away. Many of the senseless tradgies that have occured
at parties in the past could have been avoided if the proper
precautions had been taken.
The law
Crowd control officers are required by law to
possess a vaid Crowd Control licence, which is an additional
qualification to a Security Officers licence. This specific training
educates security on how to handle large crowds of people, basic RSA
(Responsible Service of Alchohol) training, basic detainment
techniques and safe removal of persons from a premises.
The service
Due to the nature of work involved in crowd controll-
a minimum supply of two guards is required. This will cover upto
100 persons, then we recommend one extra guard per 50 persons. This
ensures the optimal level of service that you will receive and provides
our guards with the appropriate support from their colleagues. We
can also supply supplimentary guards at short notice if there is
an emergency. |
